Reasons for falling sales and the lack of trade
Terms of reference
I was asked by Mr. Ong Chee Meng to write a report about reason for falling sales and lack of trade. This report is needed as soon as possible.
Proceeding
To find out about the reasons for falling sales and lack of trade, I conducted a survey by interview customers as they leave the supermarket. The question asked include :
- A) What do you think of the quality of our products ?
- B) What do you think of the range of our products ?
Findings
Based on the interview, I have found that :
- Majority of the customers thinks that our products has good quality
- 53.6% of customers thinks that the range of our product are fair only.
- 47.8% of customers thinks that our staff's helpfulness are fair.
- Majority of customers thinks that our facilities are fair.
- Majority of customers thinks we are very good compare to other hypermarkets.
Conclusions
It can be said that customers commented about the slow service in all departments especially at the cashier counter, a lack of cleanliness in the cafe and the toilets were oftens closed or dirty.
Recommendations
I would suggest that :
- A) Give proper training to all the staffs to improve our service.
- B) Hire more cleaner in the cafe and toilets so we can clean our cafe and toilets more often.
- C) Have more range of products so that customers will have more choice and visit us often.
- D) Improve the quality of our products to make sure all the customers satisfy with it.
